Jiu Jitsu is a grappling based sport that relies on leverage and technique to defeat your opponent. This allows smaller participants to defeat bigger opponents as size and strength play a less important role than in many other martial arts. In our Jiu Jitsu classes, you will learn takedowns, joint locks, chokes, how to control an opponent on the ground and how to escape from dangerous positions. Jiu Jitsu practitioners can choose to compete in Jiu Jitsu tournaments or train for the benefits of physical fitness and personal development.
Intro to Jiu Jitsu Classes
Our Intro to Jiu Jitsu class runs on Mondays at 7:00 pm and Saturdays at
6:00pm and is designed for brand new members who have never done Jiu Jitsu before. This class will cover all of the basics, using a training dummy and make sure that members have a strong grasp of all of the fundamentals before moving into the more advanced classes.
Regular Jiu Jitsu classes run Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8:00 pm, as well as Monday and Wedneday at 6:00 am
**NOTE: This class requires a gi (uniform). We carry gis in our pro shop and new members get 25% off any equipment or apparel.
